With it's size of 394,000 sq km it has about the same size like Germany.
It's population counts 43.7 million people.
The capital is Kunming

Yunnan is the most varied of all Chinese Provinces.
The terrain is ranging from tropical rainforests to snow-capped Tibetian peaks.
It is home to 50% of China's plant and animal species. With a lot of areas not yet beeing erschlossen and spoiled by tourism or other "efforts".
A multi ethnic pupulation , ?32? of Chinas ?52?minorities, 50% of it's population beeing non-Han, makes Yunnan very interesting.

This variety alone is for many people the reason to choose Yunnan as their traveling destination.

An other reason why a lot of people have choosen to live in Yunna is its al year round mild climate. Kunming, Yunnans capital, is often reverred to as the" Spring City".
